Passion

My human theme for this semester that I will be focusing on is passion. I would say that passion is gone in our society. Of course love and caring exists, but work, school, friends and family often get in they way. Passion isn't at all just within relationships. It's within our everyday life. Whether we can see through someone's eyes or walk in their shoes. Just seeing how others live their life and how fortunate some of us are in this world. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/passion
A passion could also be something you hate or dislike. For example you could have a Passionate hatred for racism, murder, or even school.
Since Martin Luther King Jr. Day is coming up soon on Monday the 20th. I would like to state that His speech on August 28th 1963, was all together mixed with various passions towards the blacks and whites of the world. http://teachingamericanhistory.org/library/document/i-have-a-dream-speech/
Movies with passion are one of my favorites, because sometimes that's how the world should really be. But in reality it is very different. In reality people are selfish and drunk on money lust. Without caring about the struggling and the broken. But movies portray the life we maybe used to live; or maybe even the life we've never had. One of my favorite movies is Forrest Gump - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forrest_Gump

  1. I'm interested to see what role you think passion plays in the world of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

We do often get so focused on our busy lives that we might forget to pay attention to our passions or to cultivate them. Passion takes time.
